Richey Suncoast Theatre is proud to present a special event, "Greek Mothers Never Die," for three exclusive showings on Thursday, January 2 and Friday, January 3. This supernatural, heartwarming romantic comedy is a hilarious look at family, love, and what happens when a mother’s love is so strong, not even death can stop her from meddling.
The film, sponsored by Ela Greek Restaurant, follows Ella, an aspiring singer whose overprotective Greek mother, Despina, would rather she take over the family Gyros shop. When Despina suddenly drops dead, she returns as an intervening ghost, haunting Ella with unwanted advice—especially after Ella's childhood sweetheart, Nick, resurfaces as a handsome doctor. Drenched in Greek drama, the story follows Ella as she learns to take control of her life, find true love, and finally deal with her mother's passing.
This event is not only a celebration of film and culture but also a chance to give back to the community. A portion of every ticket—$4.00—will be donated directly to the Greek Children's Fund of Florida, supporting their essential work with sick children and their families.
Tickets are on sale now and are expected to sell quickly for this limited engagement.
